Tottenham Hotspur FC Case Study

On what was our biggest installation project to date, in all TTL Video installed 623 cables at a total length of more than 240km!

TTL Video were selected as consultants and installation contractors for the Tottenham Hotspur new stadium build, starting in 2017. We worked closely with sporting and non-sporting broadcasters, sporting bodies and the club to achieve a solution that delivered for a multi-use stadium capable of staging major sporting and non-sporting events, including NFL, boxing, rugby and concerts, as well as Tottenham Hotspur football matches.

We were an integral part of the team with the club, architects and build contractors, designing, supplying and installing an extensive range of specialist cables to enable Outside Broadcasters to cover a range of events with varying production requirements.

A particular challenge was designing and installing a system that could work seamlessly with the two playing surfaces; a grass pitch for football, and an artificial surface for NFL. The real grass pitch for Premier League splits into three sections before rolling into a storage area beneath the south stand. The pitch surround and players’ tunnel rises and falls through a height of 1.65m to meet the different levels of the grass and artificial surfaces.  TTL Video developed a system consisting of a permanent connection point beneath the south stand, with pluggable extension cables to service both the Premier League “Low Behind” cameras and the NFL camera infill platforms.
