Principality Stadium Case Study

TTL Video was contracted to carry out the broadcast cabling installation as part of a major upgrade to the stadium facilities at the WRU’s Principality Stadium. Already world famous as the home of Welsh Rugby, the venue’s management had a vision to meet the UEFA A class stadium rating which would permit the stadium to host major UEFA football matches. We led the design, project management, installation, and commissioning of the comprehensive Outside Broadcast cable system, and happily the venue was successful in its bid to host the UEFA Champions League final in 2017.

With careful planning and co-ordination TTL Video provided a permanent hardwired solution with connection points as close as practically possible to the desired camera positions. We worked closely with broadcasters, sporting bodies and the venue to achieve a solution that delivered on the objectives of all parties.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the venue, TTL Video worked in consultation with UEFA’s host broadcaster in the lead up to the Champions League final in 2017.

Broadcast to over 200 countries, the champions league final is regularly the most watched annual televised sporting event.
